Canning Day

Today we made homemade peach jam! It took awhile, but we accomplished it!

711 Day!

In honor of 711 Day, we went to 4 of the 6 711s in the area! We had a really good time!

Pie Day!

Yesterday we had a pie day and we made 2 pies- banana cream and apple! The banana cream involved making a homemade pudding and the finished product was delicious! We later made an apple pie which was really good! We had a fun day making pies and realized that making pies aren't too hard!

Chicken Mini's!

This morning we went to Chick-Fil-A and got one of their breakfast item's, the Chicken Mini's! They were so yummy and you definitly have to try them! You will love them for sure!

Happy Birthday, Kelli!

This week we celebrated Kelli's birthday! We had a fun couple of days starting on Thursday (her actual birthday) when we went to lunch to Village Inn and Kelli got a free slice of pie. On Friday, we went to Ruth's Diner in SLC and then to Hogle Zoo and City Creek where we had a fun time with everyone.

REAL and School Lunch

After a fun time at Summer Seminary, Jason, Kelli, Konnor, and a friend, Brooke were going home when we took the wrong turn- we ended up at the elementary where we found out that the school was serving school lunch. It was something new and the experience was fun. Later, Dad and Jason (thanks to Ted and Nate) went to the RSL Game and had a blast! They were playing the LA Galaxy so they got to see David Beckam.

Baseball and Bowling

Yesterday was a fun filled day! Jason went bowling and made cookies with some of his friends and they had a blast! They all had a good time and they turned out to be good bakers! That evening, we all went to the Raptor's Game as a family. We all had a fun time watching baseball and relaxing with each other.

Cherry Pickin'

A family friend of ours has a cherry orchard in town. He owns the land and he has lots of cherry trees, one being nearly 100 years old! We had a fun time picking the cherries and we are grateful that he let us go pick on his property.

Yard Sale Fun!

This morning we had a big yard sale! We got around $70 so it wasn't too bad. We had fun with everyone and Konnor enjoyed the donuts we had. We had fun with a doll we found and Konnor and Steven tried a new activity that Konnor really liked.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Yesterday was Mom's 50th Birthday! She is such a great woman and she is a great example to us all. We first started with a yummy breakfast of Strawberry Waffles. We then opened presents and then headed off to see Madagascar 3: Europes Most Wanted. After, we had lunch at the Pizza Factory in the Junction and everyone enjoyed their meal. When we got back, Steven, Heather, and Jason made a cake for the birthday girl. After eating the cake, we watched the Miami and Boston basketball game. We were sad to not have the Hiatt's with us, do to their sickness.

Splash Pad

Yesterday we went to a splash pad for the first time! A splash pad is usually by a park and it is just a fun area where they have entertaining water toys and attractions just like they would in a real pool but it is for free! It isn't very spacious, but it keeps everybody entertained and happy. Konnor didn't like it as much, but we will try it in the future. Afterwards, we got Gyros (Greek Food) for lunch and it was Jason's first time trying it!

Discovery Time

Today we went over to the local library for their "Discovery Time" which Konnor really enjoys. Konnor enjoyed singing and learning about frogs and the bubbles at the end. Later, we had breakfast for lunch- it was really good!

Union Station

Today we did lots of fun things! We first went to Union Station and took some fun pictures. Then we headed off to 25th Street and looked at all the fun stores and restaurants that are there. For lunch, we tried the Dorrito Taco at Taco Bell and loved it!

The Braces Are Off!

Today Jason got his braces off! He is so excited to have them off and he can't wait to eat the food that he hasn't been able to (Corn on the Cob.)

Yard Project

Yesterday we added some flowers to our yard. We put them around the tree and they look great!

Picnic at the Park

Today we took advantage of the wonderful weather and had a picnic! We had it at a local park and it was great! Jason had some of his friends over and they all had a blast. We had sandwiches, chips, watermellon, and lots of yummy sweets. We later went over and played some tennis at the tennis court at the park.

Tree House

We are happy to say that our summer adventures have started! Today we were able to accomplish 2 things off our board- Going to the Tree House and doing a Yard Project. We had a great time at the Tree House with Konnor- he loved the trains. The weather was very hot when we worked on our flowers, but we were able to survive!

Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day! We hope everyone had a great day! We were able to spend our day as a family and we had a fun breakfast with each other. We later went on a hike up in town and gathered some flowers to put on the graves. We were able to see more family up at the cemetery and it was a good way to spend the morning.

Welcome Summer 2012!

To kick off the summer season, Jason went to a birthday party last night and had a blast! We are excited for the new things this summer will bring! We will have birthdays, a wedding, and much more!
